About the First Nations LNG Alliance

The First Nations LNG Alliance is a collective of First Nations participating in, and supportive of, sustainable and responsible LNG development in BC. The Alliance provides public education and information to, and for, First Nations interested in LNG and energy projects, and project benefits.

Purpose of Reconciliation Outreach Contractor position

A primary goal of the Alliance is engagement and outreach with First Nations that are impacted by LNG projects, to identify challenges and opportunities for maximizing benefits to the communities and their members.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the CEO and her advisors, develop and implement a plan to increase engagement and outreach to First Nations in targeted areas.
  • Meet weekly/bi-weekly with CEO as needed.
  • Report monthly on outreach efforts and results of outreach to the CEO and to the Board

 Special Notes:

  • Contractor may be required to work outside standard hours.
  • Contractor is required to operate under deadlines.
  • Contractor must be prepared to travel and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Contractor must be able to work independently under general supervision.
  • Contractor must be available to the CEO from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm daily, Monday to Friday.
  • Contractor may be required to undertake related miscellaneous assigned duties.
  • Contractor is required to participate in weekly team meetings via Zoom..
  • All expenses must be pre-approved.
  • Compensation and contract to be discussed.
